The Dinner Tab heard ’round the nation

Posted: September 29, 2010 by NattieLiz in Dallas Cowboys, NFL

Little baby brat Dez Bryant  finally received his pay back. The Dallas Cowboy rookie signed a 3.8 million dollar contract this year and is most known for his refusal to go through the Cowboys rookie hazing of carrying the pads of a Dallas Vet during training camp. He was quoted as saying, “I’m not doing it. I feel like I was drafted to play football, not carry another player’s pads”.

Well as they say.. pay back is a You Know what.  Roy Williams was the vet that Bryant dissed during summer.. and he excused it by saying that Bryant could pay him back with a dinner and a new pair of shoes. Well that dinner went down Monday night. Bryant invited the Offensive players to dinner at Pappas Steakhouse, but Williams wanted the message of pay back to be clear…So he invited the Defense too. The bill for not carrying pads: $54,896.

The players basically ordered the entire menu and took home bottles of wine… some as much as 9,000 dollars.  Damn!! wonder if he said, He was brought here to play football, not buy every one dinner…. Well done  Williams, I like your style.
