ND Player Investigation

Posted: November 23, 2010 by NattieLiz in NCAA Football, Notre Dame

19-year-old St. Mary’s college student, Elizabeth Seeberg died of an apparent suicide nine days after telling University of Notre Dame police that she had been sexually attacked by a football player  in late August. “Lizzy” as she was known to her friends, overdosed on prescription medication in her dorm room September 10th. The player under investigation remains on the field.

It’s now more than two months later and an  Indiana prosecutor is starting to review the case.  On Sunday, Coach Brian Kelly had this to say, “I’m not going to get into the specifics. I can tell you this, from my standpoint as the head football coach I think it was made clear that the university is going to deal with any matters of this nature.” But Notre Dame still refuses to publicly acknowledge the case, and what actions officials have taken to investigate her allegation remain largely unknown.
