Vick vs. Oprah

Posted: February 14, 2011 by NattieLiz in Fans, NFL

Ohhh its a Doggie Dog World!  This Thursday Oprah will have Philadelphia QB Micheal Vick on her show.  This was something that seemed to be inevitable since Oprah is using her last year on air to hit all most controversial issues. According to Harpo Productions, Oprah will cover every thing from the dogs, to prison, his return to the NFL, and his work with the Humane Society. I hope he knows what he’s getting into, we all know Oprah likes to ease in then GO HARD in the PAINT!  Good luck Vick, Good luck!

Congrats to the Wimmers

Leah Michelle had a bit of a slip up last night at the Grammys.. but at least she had tough guy Clay Matthews to hold it down! Green Bay Packers, Super Bowl Winner, Clay Matthews had quite the night!

Obviously known for his, “Long Hurr, Don’t Curr” Attitude, Matthews got to meet Mr. Dreads himself, Weezy F baby, at the Cash Money Pre- Grammy party. I’d say Matthews is having quite the EPIC week!

The Cheerless Bowl

Posted: February 4, 2011 by NattieLiz in Fans, Green Bay Packers, NFL

The side lines of this years Super Bowl, against the Steelers and Packers, is going to look a little different. For the first time in more than 40 years no team cheerleaders will be on the side lines during the game. The Packers and the Steelers are 2 of the 6 teams that don’t have professional cheerleaders. I think this is a little known fact, because it seems universal, you have a pro football team, you have pro cheerleaders. NOPE! So with the big game being played in Texas, football heaven, there will be no girls on the sidelines to pump up the crowd… Seems pretty crappy if you ask me.  In Green Bay the team “borrows” the cheer squad of nearby colleges, University of  Wisconsin Green Bay and St. Norbert, for lack of better words, that is super Cheesy!

In case you are interested, the 6 cheerleading-less teams are The New York Giants, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, The Green Bay Packers, and The Pittsburgh Steelers.  At least we can count on The Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders to be out side of the stadium on Sunday preforming… thank God!

Git it Girl!

Auburn vs Oregon: Soul Plane

Posted: January 9, 2011 by NattieLiz in Fans, NCAA Football, Oregon Ducks

We are only one day away from the BCS Title game against Oregon and Auburn. Apparently, Auburn Fans are taking over the friendly skies… Check out this video of the Auburn Fight Song, or should I say, FLIGHT Song. I could have sworn this was not legal, because if it was, could you imagine how cool it would be if I slipped a copy of “We Ballin’ Boys!!” to the pilot on my flight every year for the Miami Homecoming Game: EPIC!

It’s only fair that we let Oregon have their best shot at it…OOooooo and they TP’d the flight!! Of course I think that’s amazing, but the average person might find this the most annoying flight in the world.

Cam’s Pre Heisman Free Style

Posted: December 15, 2010 by NattieLiz in Cam Newton, Fans

So before Cam Newton was winning games at Auburn and swinging by NYC to pick up his Heisman, he was playing for Blinn College. This video is great not because of Cam’s pre game free style, but because WTH is #26 doing??

I have been super sick the last 4 days, but I will admit these are a few things in the news that our team has let you down on. But better late than never right!? Let’s Play Catch up!

1. Al Golden Hired as the new University of Miami Head Coach:

2. Cam Newton wins the Heisman:

3. Iowa admit flaws and inconsistencies in drug testing procedures:

Via CBS SPORTS: Gary Barta, Iowa Athletic Director said Tuesday that the school is reviewing its drug testing policies in the wake of Derrell Johnson-Koulianos’s arrest and suspension last week on charges including possession of controlled substances, including cocaine and marijuana.  At a hastily called news conference that athletic department officials found some “flaws and inconsistencies” in the policies — and that some athletes have likely beaten tests in the past. “We did find pretty strong evidence that there a couple ways that our student-athletes probably have and most likely have, at some point, gotten around the test,” Barta said. “It’s almost become a cottage industry around the country; ‘How do you beat a test?’ And it’s something that we have to be constantly on top of.”

….And now at least you can be semi caught up! sorry about that gals!
