You play Basketball, like a GIRL!

Posted: March 7, 2011 by NattieLiz in Lebron James, Miami Heat, NBA

Ya gotta love the Sandlot. Another great quote,”There’s no crying in Baseball!”,  but apparently there is in Pro Basketball. Athletes all have their moments of pure emotion. Most of the time it’s during a championship game where a tough battle is going down. Well this past Sunday, the Miami heat lost to the Chicago Bulls, 87-86.  This one point game, left the Heat pretty upset. Head coach, Erik Spoelstra, told media after that game that, “There are a couple of guys crying in the locker room”.

They have lost four games in a row now to the likes of New York, Orlando, and  San Antonio, and now, Chicago. This comes right after the loss to Orlando, where Chris Bosh had a particularly emotional post game interview.  C’mon ladies, let’s try to pull it together!

The Real Life JC’s

First I think its important that we once again state- if we haven’t before- the name of this blog is a play on words!  It’s a joke because haters (aka guys) would call us “Jersey Chasers” because we could out talk them in sports… but in real life are goal is by NO means to get wifed up to Pro athletes. I think that should be stated, the name is a pun. With that said, there are some gals out there that do love them some Jersey wearing Hotties (and sadly, even some not so hotties).

Kim K…From Bush, to rumored Christiano Ronaldo, to confirmed Austin, to now… drum roll please!!….. New Jersey Net: Kris Humphries! Maybe sister Khloe finally let her in on the secret to drop the football players and move onto basketball. That tall K-Dash even has a new reality show coming out with her hubby! Way to capitalize girl! We likes! (Just watch out for that “Newlyweds” break up curse)

Up Next is our very funny friend, Mr. Chad OchoCinco. He has confirmed his engagement to Evelyn Lozada. If you have ever checked out an episode of Basketball wives (aka Basketball Ex girl friends) you have seen this passionate drama queen in action. But Congrats! You can’t help who you love.

And since this site does cater to women… let’s just take a look at her 10-Carat engagement ring:

Once again… We Likes!

Blake Griffin: Rubadub in the Tub

Posted: December 7, 2010 by NattieLiz in Blake Griffin, NBA

Ladies, we all love to see NBA players running down the court doing work! Sweating, Dunking, Blocking, and just giving it their all! But what about when they are just hanging out? Well it seems that one of our favorite Balllerrsss, Blake Griffin, is just as entertaining off the court as he is on. The Clippers website does a great job giving the players flip cams and letting them have at it!  Check out these trick shots from Clippers, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.

Lebron’s Back

Posted: December 2, 2010 by NattieLiz in Lebron James, Miami Heat, NBA, Uncategorized

Tonight: Heat vs Cavs in Cleveland
Security at the arena has been upped so that people don’t get all CRAZY on Lebron in the city he ditched. They have asked for no “outburst” and no disrespectful signs. Oh come on! there’s no fun in that! Never the less, the crowd reaction is not going to be pretty. It’s like the woman scorned seeing her Ex out with another woman for the first time since they broke up… and to add insult to injury she is still single. (meaning the Cav’s need the W on this as well). But on the other had, there are dedicated Lebron fans who just can’t find it in themselves to hate on their dude. He did give them 7 years of great memories. Hmmm what’s a girl to do? oh, I mean what’s a fan to do??
Watch It! gonna be a good one!

Eva Longoria is no longer a real life Desperate Housewife. The latin beauty filed for divorce today from NBA star husband, Tony Parker. Once again, another athlete accused of cheating. This is a sticky situation as Longoria found her husbands phone filled with text messages from another team mates wife. OUCH. Couldn’t be just a rando- had to be someone elses wife! come guys! your killing us!  But Welcome to The Losers Bracket!

Eva sited that it was “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and is seeking “spousal support” aka a HUGE CHUNK OF CHANGE!

The star clearly had to make it official by going right to the public, Via Twitter:  “It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”

MR. 305

Posted: July 9, 2010 by NattieLiz in Lebron James, Miami Heat, NBA

So as every good Miami girl should know, Pitbull is the real Mr. 305, but it looks like he is going to be taking a back seat to none other than.. THE KING!  Lebron James announced Thursday night at 9:27 ET, that after his week-long free agency shopping, he has decided to join the MIAMI HEAT!

Mixed reactions came from fans around the nation. Cleveland fans were devastated and burning jerseys. There were more than a few heartbroken faces in Ohio. Cleveland just lost its favorite son. They cried when the Cavaliers drafted him and are left like many of us when our man decides to go his own way, depressed with the rocky road pint in hand. Knicks fan’s were calling him “THE QUEEN” and Nets fan’s including HOVA poured one out for another missed opportunity. LA fans, out of pure insecurity and pride of their Champion Lakers, were hatin’ the creation of a power team: Lebron joins, D. Wade and Chris Bosh, making them the newest force to be reckoned with. For the most part, true Lebron fans were happy to finally see The King go to a city were he might actually be able to rule the kingdom.

So the next few days will be strictly Lebron. People waited a long time to find out that South Beach was going to be his new home, and they will not let life go on for a while- so just be warned. And as soon as the 2010/11 NBA season starts, fans will be anxious to see if The King and his “Power Team” live up to the hype….. Until then, Congrats, Mr. 305!!!, Let’s head to MANSION and Pop Bottles! DOLCE any one??
